ABOUT US

Welcome to Reconciling The World Ministries

We're glad you took the time to explore the pages of our site. We're a family-oriented church that ministers to the total man. Our church reflects the love of God in operation through the members and, most importantly, through the Spirit of God.

"Welcome and receive (to your hearts) one another, then, even as Christ has welcomed and received you, for the glory of God." Romans 15:7 (AMP)

HISTORY

Reconciling The World Ministries, also affectionately called "RTWM", came into existence in September 2002; however, God gave Pastor David the name of the church in 1995, shortly after receiving his calling into the ministry. The three-fold vision of the church, “tearing down the walls of racism, tearing down the walls of denominationalism, bringing the lost and backslidden to Christ”, came at the same time in 1995. In Pastor David’s own words, "I was riding in my car and God stated to me that He had called me into the ministry of reconciliation and I was to tear down the walls of racism, tear down the walls of denominationalism, and reconcile the lost and the backslidden back to Christ”.

After facilitating bible study for three years at his place of employment, God spoke to Pastor David that it was time to start Reconciling The World Ministries. Shortly thereafter, RTWM started holding services in the southwestern area of Charlotte in a small hotel banquet room; then, a door was opened to lease a commercial building in northeast Charlotte. Upon the end of the lease, RTWM held services at an elementary school in northeast Charlotte. In 2007, RTWM was blessed to have its own building constructed in the same area where Pastor David had a vision for the church to reside.

RTWM is not just another church, but it is a worship experience based on pursuing after the heart of God. The desire of RTWM is to present a church to God as a living sacrifice; one that He can be pleased with and that can be used for His Glory. At RTWM, the preached Word of God is powerful and revelatory and Praise & Worship is passionate and vibrant.

WHAT WE BELIEVE

We believe the Bible to be the inspired and only infallible written Word of God.

We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in Three Persons: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.

We believe in the Blessed Hope, which is the rapture of the Church of God which is in Christ, at His return.

We believe that the regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential for personal salvation.

We believe that the redemptive work of Christ on the cross provides healing for the human body in answer to believing prayer.

We believe that the baptism in the Holy Spirit according to Acts 2:4 is given to believers who ask for it.

We believe in the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling, the Christian is enabled to live a holy and separated life in this present world.

Amen

MISSION STATEMENT

Christ is the head of the church, which is His body. Therefore, we being the body of Christ, purchased by his blood, have been appointed as ambassadors for Christ to proclaim the gospel, that is, God was in Christ reconciling the world with His love to himself.

Believing that Christ died and was raised once, for all races, all backgrounds, for all people, incorporating persons into all newness of life, we preach, teach and proclaim . . .

“And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.”
II Corinthians 5:18-19 (KJV)
